Applications for the first Driver Education class of the 2022-2023 school year are being accepted from August 1- 8, 2022 only.

Note: Due to the pandemic, Driver Education classes will be held virtually and are limited to 14 students.

You may pick up an application in room A3 from August 1-8, or download from below.  A CLEAR copy of both sides of the student’s current driver permit, centered in the middle of one page, must be included when the application is submitted.  

Fully completed applications, along with the copy of the driver permit, are due to Ms. Dudoit, by 3pm on Mon. August 8, 2022.  Roosevelt students must fully complete the Student Class Schedule on side 2 of the application. Late and/or incomplete submissions may not be considered.

Please note:

• Selection for the class is by lottery.   

• The class list will be posted in front of room A3 at 2pm on August 10.  Students are responsible for checking the list.

•  IF SELECTED:  

• 1) both the student and parent are required to attend a mandatory virtual orientation meeting on Wednesday, August 17, from 5:30 -7:30 pm. A webex link will be sent to those selected.  

• 2) $10 class fee must be paid (cash only) by Aug. 17 to Ms. Dudoit in room A3. 

• 3) Non-Roosevelt applicants will be contacted via email if selected.

•  Classes will be held virtually on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from Aug. 23- Sept. 28, 2022 from 5:30-8:30 pm.  

• Final exam will be given in person in the RHS library on Sept. 29, 2022, from 3:15-5:15 pm. 

• Driving with the instructor will be scheduled after the class begins.
