Roosevelt counselors believe that all students have the right to be served by a comprehensive school counseling program.
Roosevelt counselors also believe that all students have the ability to learn and should be given every opportunity to reach their highest potential.
Vision:
At Roosevelt High School, the Counseling Department’s vision is that each student will be College Ready, Career Ready and World Ready by demonstrating the following character traits: integrity, self-awareness, self-advocacy, independence, problem-solving, effective communication and collaboration, respect and compassion.
Mission:
All students at Roosevelt High School will receive equal access to a comprehensive data-driven school counseling program. Our program will emphasize supporting students throughout their high school career. We will do this by building nurturing relationships, helping to create a safe school environment, educating them in social-emotional learning, and teaching skills that will help them be successful in high school and beyond. Counselors will advocate for student equity, access, and success, and empower them to find their voice. We will collaborate with the faculty and staff, parents/guardians, and community to help students reach their fullest potential.
